Sample Datasets

DataXpert includes sample datasets so you can explore the platform without connecting your own data.

Using a sample dataset

1. Click Data in the sidebar.
2. Click Add New Data Source.
3. Use one of the inline buttons to start a sample:
   • Try sample file — a sample spreadsheet.
   • Use sample docstore — a sample document set.
   • Try sample database — a sample database.
4. Pick a dataset from the list and create the datastore.

Sample datastores behave like any other source — ask questions about them in chat, build dashboards, and add them to projects.

What it’s good for

• Getting a feel for DataXpert before connecting your own data.
• Exploring chart and dashboard layouts.
• Practicing how to phrase questions.
• Demoing the platform to teammates.
