Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”What is DataXpert? An AI-powered analytics platform — ask questions in everyday language and get answers as charts, tables, and dashboards. No technical skills required.
How do I get started? Go to app.dataxpert.ai, sign up, upload a CSV/Excel file or connect a database, and start asking questions. See the Quickstart.
Do I need technical skills? No. If you can type a question, you can use DataXpert.
What file formats can I upload?
- Spreadsheets / data — CSV (
.csv), TXT (.txt), Excel (.xls,.xlsx). - Documents — PDF (
.pdf), Word (.doc,.docx), PowerPoint (.ppt,.pptx), Text (.txt).

Features
Section titled “Features”What types of questions can I ask? Trends, comparisons, top/bottom performers, averages, totals, correlations — virtually any data question. See Chat.
How accurate are the results? Every answer comes back with the underlying data so you can verify it. The Code & Explanation option on any result shows exactly how DataXpert arrived at the answer, in plain English.
What visualizations are available? Bar, pie, line, scatter, and bubble charts, plus tables, KPI cards, and statistic summaries. DataXpert auto-selects the best type.
Can I export results? Yes — chat results that come back as a table can be downloaded as CSV (use Download answer in CSV in the result toolbar). You can also push a chart from a chat into a dashboard via Export to Dashboard. See Chat.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”Where can I see plan limits? Open Account → Subscriptions for live prices and what each plan includes. Open Account → Usage to see your current period’s usage. See Plans & Pricing.
Can I upgrade or downgrade? Yes. Plan changes are managed from the Subscriptions tab and the billing portal. See Subscription & Billing.
Data & security
Section titled “Data & security”What databases are supported? PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Cassandra, plus business-app connectors for HubSpot, Zoho, SAP, and NetSuite.
Is my data secure? We recommend using read-only credentials when connecting databases — DataXpert never modifies your source database.
Can I connect multiple data sources? Yes. The exact number of database connections you can have at once depends on your plan. See Account → Subscriptions for current limits.
Dashboards
Section titled “Dashboards”How do I add a chart to a dashboard? Open the dashboard and click Add Chart or KPI at the bottom. Type a prompt for the chart you want, and DataXpert generates it in place. You can also push a chart from a chat using Export to Dashboard.
What roles are available? Organization Owner — full access, manages billing and seats. Organization Admin — manages members and shared data. See Organizations & Teams.
How do team workspaces work? Members of an organization share access to organization-level resources. Some resources stay scoped to their creator — check with your admin.
